Meanwhile, here are some tips for storytellers (pdf) from my favorite NPR show, Snap Judgment that also apply to writing true stories.
But don’t let those tips intimidate you – remember, it’s GUIDELINES, not RULES. Also? There’s a lot more competition to get on Snap Judgment than there is here. Just tell your story like you would to a friend. “You’ll never believe what happened yesterday!”
As long as your story is interesting, you promise that it’s true, and you’re not a troll – you’re in. So have fun!
